We Took our Home Around the World

Most people would never consider a 35 foot sailboat to be a home, but we do after living on our vessel for over six years and sailing it to 30 countries. With 35,000 nautical miles under our keel, my husband, Kelly and I (Kelly Girl), proved it could be done safely and with our marriage still intact.

Once we returned to the states, people asked us how we got started so I decided to write a book about it.  Sailing The Waterhouse: Swapping Turf for Surf, is a story that reveals the challenge of selling everything and giving up the comforts of land life to move on a boat that could take us around the world.
